From March 2009, the Danone Clover initiative called Danone Clover Food Gardening Project "Caring for our children campaign" of Food Gardening in schools was embarked on together with Food Gardens Foundation (FGF). Up to 40 pre-selected needy schools

  around the Gauteng Region will benefit from this initiative. The focus of Danone Clover is bringing health to as many children as possible through nutrition because no child is suppose to go to be hungry, now these Food Gardens are a step towards achieving that goal.

Leaners, their Educators and Parents were encouraged to participate; where FGF provided the expert training and relevant tools and a support system

  to help make this a success.

40 - pre-schools across Gauteng have been trained thus far where some are in Kagiso, Soweto, Tembisa, Kempton Park, Tsakane, KwaThema, Daveyton and Auckland Park - JHB.
